IDENTIFYING POSITIVE MEDIA STORIES

Would you like an endless pot of positive PR stories to help you promote your organisation?

Would your spokespeople benefit from more case studies and human examples that they can weave into their media interviews and presentations?

Wouldn’t it be great if every one of your colleagues, across all areas of your organisation, were on the lookout for positive ‘media friendly’ news stories that your PR and media teams could share?

If you like the sound of this, the latest online course to be released by Media First will help.

‘Identifying positive media stories’ is an interactive, online course, that takes less than 30 minutes to complete.

Accessible on a PC, Mac, tablet or smartphone, it is designed to be rolled out to teams, departments or even whole businesses.

And, while about 80 per cent of this course content is pre-designed, the rest of it can be designed bespoke to you. It can include example press releases from your organisation, links to your own news stories, blogs, podcasts, videos – whatever you want to include to showcase the sorts of stories that you want to hear more of.

There’s even a section called ‘Meet the Comms Team’ where we can add personal profile images, videos or a few words from your team, so you can really add the personal touch.

What will participants learn?

  • What journalists, the media, their audiences and your team are looking for in news stories.
  • Transferable storytelling skills that will help them in their day to day communication.
  • How to present and submit a story idea to you – quickly, easily and helpfully.
  • How to support your comms and media teams to build a better brand.
  • The benefits to them, and their departments, of engaging with the comms team.
