Media Team Academy - Terms and Conditions

Your use of the Media Team Academy is deemed as acceptance of the following T&Cs:

Your Media Team Academy licence is valid for a maximum of 12 months, from the first date of access or date of payment (whichever is earlier).

Up to 8 members of your team will be given access to the Academy. When you subscribe, you will need to provide the names, business titles and email addresses of the 8 users you want to be able to access the Academy.

Although by its very name the Academy has been designed for Media Team members other functional colleagues such as communications, crisis, PR and marketing use is fine. However, it is important that we only have people whose role is 100% comms related.

The Academy is not appropriate for spokespeople or other directors as we want to ensure that the cohort can talk openly and confidentially about topics relevant to comms/media teams only.

Any user licenses issued for our online courses are for use by your named Academy Team members only.

User accounts may only be used by the person to whom it is named. Sharing or transferring of access details is not permitted. In the event of unauthorised access, Media First reserves the right to cancel and/or withdraw access immediately to all associated users.

All MTA 'Ask the Expert' or 'surgery' sessions are only available with a Gold plan subscription and must be used within your twelve month subscription period. These sessions cannot be carried over past this date without prior arrangement.

Media First will make all reasonable effort to provide uninterrupted access to the Media Team Academy Portal for the duration of your subscription. However, from time to time, users may be unable to access the site due to conditions beyond our control. Such conditions include, but are not limited to: force majeure, acts of God, power outages, and the acts of computer hackers and others acting outside the law. Also, from time to time, access may be unavailable due to software issues, server downtime, increased internet traffic or downtime, programming errors, regular maintenance of the system, and other related reasons. In response to any unavailability, Media First will take all reasonable steps to restore access within the shortest possible time.

Media First reserves the right to change, modify, or discontinue any aspect or feature of the Media Team Academy. Any such changes, modifications, additions or deletions will be communicated and effective as specified therein.

Copyright in the Media Team Academy Portal (including text, graphics, logos, icons, sound recordings and software) may be owned or licensed by us. Information procured from a third party may be the subject of copyright owned by that third party. You may not in any form or by any means adapt, reproduce, store, distribute, print, display, perform, publish or create derivative works from any part of this Portal or from any information obtained from this Portal; or commercialise any information, products or services obtained from any part of this Portal, without our written permission or, in the case of third-party material, from the owner of the copyright in that material.
