The worst jargon ever

Everybody hates jargon yet we continue to encounter it every day.

Whether we are ‘touching-base’ with our boss, enjoying a bit of ‘blue sky thinking’ in a team meeting, being told to ‘get our ducks in a row’ during a presentation, or listening to an organisation’s spokesperson talk about ‘stakeholders’, we can all think of phrases which leave us bemused or simply want to make us hit our heads against the nearest hard object.

Even the Prime Minister has had enough, recently calling on the civil service, which generally leads the way in jargon, to ensure all communication is ‘human, clear, simple, helpful, and professional’.

Just in case we all do what Mr Cameron asks, we want you to vote for the worst piece of jargon, before it is all banished to the history books.

So cast your vote and have some fun with it. Maybe even 'think outside the box' and let us know of any phrases you think are worse than the ones below - you can click 'other' and leave your phrases in the comments section at the bottom of the page.
